Back To Basics

I decided to sit in on the amazing Andrew Hem's landscape painting class. It's giving me a good reason to bust out the good old gouache kits, which is very exciting.
This one is the limited yellow/blue/black/white palette.

Wow, really like this, Tuna. Feels kind of like a piece of classic Disney concept art

you are a very brave soul I'm terrified of even going near gouache. This is a lovely landscape, and your limited/ muted pallet is really pleasing to the eye.

Wow Gouache! Gouache takes a lot of time to work with, great job! I really like the look of this piece.

Can't go wrong with the basics. Nicely done! Agree with Betsy also about the Disney thing...

Thanks for the super kind compliment, Betsy!

Thank you Ari, don't be afraid of gouache. I promise the bark is worse than the bite.

Kendra & Brett & Monica - you guys are so sweet. thanks for stopping by.

Thank you Xavier- I actually find gouache more accommodating in terms of time because it dries much faster yet still blends afterwards.

Thanks Chris!
