Holiday Note

It's true that I said I wanted to break into random houses and replace everyone's gifts with coals. It's also true that I ruined Christmas, on Part Time Dreamers, a blog I have with some really talented artist friends of mine. Still, I wanted to see you all off to your holiday plans with on a sweeter note.
Happy Holidays, everyone! Hope the new year brings the best of all to you.

More Fashion!

I feel like I'm getting a little carried away with all this, haha. Still, this is so much fun! It's a great way to relax when I can afford to take a break from work. These are digital, I've actually done some india ink ones tonight as well which are waiting to be scanned still.
Hope you like it!

After A Short Break...

...I picked up my brushes and did some fashion type illustrations. There is a whole batch of them on a sketchbook, but I keep forgetting it in my car.
Personally, I find water-soluble media (inks, watercolor, and gouache especially) more capable of delivering these kinds of drawings/paintings better. I've seen really cool ones in pen, pencil and marker but there is something about your control over the consistency of paint that can't be matched. Sigh. I love gouache!

Whose Voyage, What Voyage?

The Voyage show is now concluded. The pieces are down, but there are rumors that there will be a round 2! Thanks you for those who came out, it was a great get together with so many talented people at once. We have Cecil Kim to thank for the whole production, and some really delicious food!

Snowball Fight

Here's a preview of the piece I have in the upcoming Snowball Fight show of The Nomad Gallery.
I'm very honored to be in the same show as so many artists I look up to!
It will take place on Dec 5th (Yes, that's this Saturday), from 6:00-9:00pm at the Los Angeles Meeting And Event Center on 10601 W. Washington Blvd.
I know this is super short notice (sorry!), but feel free to stop by and say hi!
